The papers document their careers through biographical material; correspondence with family, friends, colleauges, and art institutions; book manuscripts, articles, interview transcripts, notes, and other writings; loan agreements, commissions, and other documentation related to exhibitions and writing articles for publications; inventories, price lists, royalty statements, and other personal business records; photographs; and artwork. John Jonas Gruen born Sept. 12, 1926 in Paris, France. Educated in Europe and the United States. Mr. Gruen is a portrait photographer; art, dance and music critic. He has written countless articles, reviews, interviews, monograhs and essays for many national and international periodicals.
